Forum: feature_films Subject: Looking for a romantic B&W film that is proven public domain.

I have created a short film that I am wanting to put into film festivals, I am looking for public domain footage with proven documentation that I use in my film. The genre is anything black and white with romantic scenes. I know this website has many, I am just very nervous about putting up footage with a film festival coming back to me saying I need proof. Has anyone has this experience and have documentation about a certain type film that I can use. Thank you.

You might be able to find content in these:

Dick Tracy Detective

Sunny

I have attached copies of copyright office search reports which you can use as documentation for the film festival.

A few romantic films and dramas with notable romantic scenes:

Car of Dreams
The Amazing Adventure
Cyrano de Bergerac
The House of Rothschild
We Live Again
Stage Door Canteen

All are PD.

There has been debate in this forum about the public domain status of British films.
